fitness & life

So I am a little unhappy in the way I look at the moment, I feel the I have lost my curves. I don't mind my weight I just want to look good again I want to have the body that I had in year 11 and 12. And so I am now walking for 30mins before work and doing a 30min run after work with my brother. But I must use my wii fit as well. I was thinking of organising a fitness day as well to see how well I do - Yes that means the beep test.

Life is good. Still love the job and having a great time with all the work that we have at the moment. I am planning to go to Avcon again this year and also Smash.

This year I will be turning 24!!! Which I think is a great age I mean I am so tired of 23. I think I will like this year because it is the year of the OX.

I am interested in seeing what this year will be like.

NATIONAL STICK IT UP THEIR ASS DAY

Got this email.

IT HAS BEEN CALCULATED THAT IF EVERYONE IN AUSTRALIA DID NOT PURCHASE A DROP OF PETROL FOR ONE DAY AND ALL AT THE SAME TIME, THE OIL COMPANIES WOULD CHOKE ON
THEIR STOCKPILES.

AT THE SAME TIME IT WOULD HIT THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY WITH A NET LOSS OVER 4.6 BILLION DOLLARS WHICH AFFECTS THE BOTTOM LINES OF THE OIL COMPANIES.

THEREFORE FRIDAY FEBRUARY 22nd HAS BEEN FORMALLY DECLARED
'STICK IT UP THEIR ASS DAY' AND THE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION SHOULD NOT BUY A SINGLE DROP OF PETROL THAT DAY.

THE ONLY WAY THIS CAN BE DONE IS IF YOU FORWARD THIS E-MAIL TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN AND AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN TO GET THE WORD OUT.

WAITING FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO STEP IN AND CONTROL THE PRICES IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. WHAT HAPPENED TO
THE REDUCTION AND CONTROL IN PRICES THE ARAB NATIONS PROMISED LONG AGO? THE PRICES JUST KEEP
GOING UP AND WE NEED TO STOP IT.

PETROL PRICES ARE CAUSING OTHER EFFECTS; AIRLINES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES, AS ARE TRUCKING COMPANIES . THIS INCREASES PRICES ON EVERYTHING THAT IS SHIPPED. THINGS LIKE FOOD, CLOTHING, BUILDING SUPPLIES MEDICAL SUPPLIES ETC. WHO PAYS IN THE END? WE DO! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

IF THEY DON'T GET THE MESSAGE AFTER ONE DAY,WE WILL DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN. SO DO YOUR PART AND SPREAD THE WORD.

FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW. MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND MAKE FEBRUARY 22nd THE DAY CITIZENS OF AUSTRALIA SAY 'ENOUGH IS ENOUGH'

John Howard - 35 Lies and Counting

35 Lies and Counting
"Truth is absolute, truth is supreme, truth is never disposable in national political life."
John Howard
ABC Radio "AM", 25 August 1995

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Health
John Howard Lie #1
"It is our policy, without qualification, to retain Medicare . . . Not only does Medicare stay but so does bulk billing . . . Instead, it will use part of the funds set aside in the forward estimates to introduce a broadly based savings rebate through the tax system."
Budget 1997/98, Budget Paper No

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lies about the lies
Here he goes again
When confronted by this record of lies, Mr Howard ducks, dodges, and diverts attention.
He resorts to his dense, lawyerly language.
He reaches for the books to find an exception, a technicality, or a qualification that can get him off the hook.
In Mr Howard's response to the 27 lies on 23 August 2004:

3 times, his excuse is that his comments are being read out of context.
4 times, he passes the buck, claiming he wasn't told or had wrong advice.
9 times, he avoids facing up to his lie--instead, diverting attention by talking about a different issue.
11 times, he tries to wriggle out, with a slippery, evasive response, adding new qualifications and conditions that were never there in his original statement.
It's time for some plain speaking from Mr Howard. If it's too hard for Mr Howard to talk straight to the Australian people about his 27 lies, maybe he can just explain these five:

The lie that he would retain Medicare.
". . . without qualification . . . Not only does Medicare stay but so does bulk billing . . ."

Mr Howard avoids facing up to his lie. Medicare is a universal health care system, and he promised to retain it. Instead, he is dismantling it, in favour of an increasingly complex, two-tier health system.

The lie that his policies would lead to reduced premiums for health insurance.
". . . lead to reduced premiums . . ."

Mr Howard avoids facing up to his lie. Instead, he reaches for the books and tries a diversion--by talking about the private health insurance rebate.
Premiums are up 21 per cent since Mr Howard's promise in the 2001 election.

The lie that there would be no $100,000 university fees.
"I can guarantee we're not going to have $100,000 university degree courses."

Mr Howard pleads that he was quoted "out of context". But read the whole interview: his words were plain then. And the truth is plan now: there are 16 university degrees that now cost more than $100,000.

The lie that he wouldn't be increasing taxes.
"That promise is quite explicit."

Under siege as the highest taxing Prime Minister in history, Mr Howard goes for the bigger lie: that he has "dramatically cut taxes". But Mr Howard has been increasing taxes for 8 years. The average taxpayer is now paying $10,300 more in tax than when he was elected.
The lie that he wouldn't use taxpayers' money for blatant political propaganda.
"Blatant . . . government electoral propaganda should be paid for by political parties."

Mr Howard avoids facing up to his lie. He didn't say he was going to stick to the same rules as Labor--he said he would follow new guidelines. But instead, he's reached deeper and deeper into taxpayers' pockets, vastly increasing spending on political ads at each election, to over $120 million in 2004.

Mr Howard has lied his way through 8 years in office, and Australians are paying the price. Higher costs for going to the doctor and getting private health insurance. Higher costs for getting the kids through their study. Higher taxes all along the way, and a less secure Australia.

Australia deserves better. Australia deserves a Prime Minister who can talk straight to them, who'll take responsibility, and who they can take on his word.

Ordinary Australians are paying the price of John Howard's dishonesty and broken promises.

Here are some guidelines as to what is suitable or unsuitable. If you have any queries about what's listed here, feel free to contact us.

Masks
It is not a must for you to wear. However, if you are not cosplaying or wearing some sort of alternative fashion (eg. gothic lolita), you are encouraged to wear a mask to fit in to the atmosphere of the event.

General Code
As this is a semi-formal to formal event, please ensure that you wear something that is suitable in such an event. If common sense is used, then there will be little trouble. However, if you are still unsure about things, here are some general guidelines.

No casual street clothing unless cosplaying. (eg. t-shirt, cargos, cut/dirty jeans, etc)
Formal, or semi-formal attire is greatly encouraged.
Footwear must be worn.
Do not wear anything that is an obstruction to others or yourself. (eg. Pikachus, Domo-kuns, Kons, Evangelions, etc.)
No weapons or large items. (eg. Large wings, life-size FFVII Cloud swords, etc. You may bring, but we'll just make you put it in the cloakroom.)
All outfits to be worn properly as it is meant to be worn. (eg. underpants over the head is not proper.)
Modesty in showing skin. (eg. if it's inappropriate to wear in public, it will not be appropriate to wear to the ball.)
Have fun!

Blueish, greenish all people who are have magic have green eyes so then I am half magic and half muggle.

Do you were contacts or glasses? No I have great eyes but they can change colour

What is your height? I am think I am the same as Alexia but just a little smaller then her. I am on the cusp of Taurus and Gemini as well.

What is your Chinese Zodiac? Ox

What is your element? So there we go running around a corner and we see two police waking our way. Then we all start to cry because we were thinking that they were coming to get us and because we started to cry they start to run to us to help us. We start to run to get away from them so they get to us but we got to our mum’s and dad’s first. They our mum’s and dad’s start to laugh when they see the police. In the end it took them a few minuets to tell us we were not going to be taken away and then we got ice creams.

Tell us a stupid fact about yourself: I never littered until I was 9 and when I did I started to cry and I ran back to pick it up.

Tell us your favourite joke: A teacher gets really mad at his biology class one day so he stands up and the front of the class and demands that anyone who is an idiot please stand up. After a couple of seconds a blonde stands up. The teacher then asks her why she's an idiot. The blonde replies, "I'm not. I just felt sorry for you standing there all by yourself."

Alexia's goodbye Party

I have a very nice dinner and well had the homestyle food for my cold. Cold is much much better then Tuesday, Finished my tablets too. After the dinner we went across to barr'd and it what its 1st b'day so the bar was having a party too.

Alexia - I know you are not dieing and that it is only a year but still ... I will miss you so much *Crys* also can you please give me TRAIN MAN, I love the story. It is a little like our Robin Hood stage we went through, don't you think? or will we go though it again when it comes out, 2 season.

I am still a little sick as I did leave the bar at around 9ish. got home and got rhys to tuck me in to bed. I can't remember falling to sleep, I was just a sleep. But I have had many stange dreams when I have been sick so I look forward to not having the dream I have had.

Sly rang as he and Zadie were going to Alexia's party - I think I am becoming annoying to him as I keep asking about the Madman job, but it is intersting as Avi for committee also applied. It would be nice to know the person who gets the job as it is easy to talk too.

I am going out today to the Gardens to see the pond that my grandpa helped fund, I have not see it so I would like to visit it.

Rhys now knows when all his exams are on and well they start on the 31 of October being English and the last is on the 21st of November. Most of his exams are in one week being the 7th, 13th and 14th. So best of Luck to him. I know that he will do very well as he is studing so hard, But I think mum is starting to get to him as she did to me. In the "Are you studing?" When rhys is studing and as he said it makes him angry which I do understand as having been in the same place.

Sick

Well I have been home since Tuesday sick and well it is bad being sick but I have had a great time resting. I have done a lot of Manifest work and I feel that most areas are going very well. There are problems but at this point it feels that we can still fix them. So I hope that you have a great time if you are going.

In other news Alexia is Leaving to Japan this Tuesday, My feeling are so mixed I am so happy but sad as I will not see her until december when I go over to see her. I know that I will be calling her every month too.

I applied for a job at Madman and well I really really want it. I feel that I would be very good for Madman in a number of ways. I hope they see that too.

Talking about Madman Sly, Shi tench and I all did an interview about Asian Pop culture I think I did very well and I was so happy with the issues and how they were handled. I have the footage and I hope to place it up on the Manifest website for all to see. It goes for about 10 mins.

So much has been happening in the last month and it is great I am glad that things happened the way they did.

I am going to Japan in December on the 20th and I want to go to Comiket (manga con) But Alexia is the HIGHEST on my list so I will be giving her all my love and spending a lot on her. But I am a little sad as I can not see her out to the airport, I have decided this is good as I would just cry and cry but I know that she is not going away forever so yeerr. I did give her a gift that I hope she likes.

Sorry for not updating as much as I would like. Wait until after Manifest.

Pirates! OMG I love it. I want to see it again and even again again. WOW, the movie was great and the scene where there is the Best Kiss Ever well OMG (lexi, I agree with your post) The movie was better then what I expected and well a hint to anyone who goes to see it wait til after the credits and see what happens. There were quite a few great scenes like all the boats lined up I was very impressed. Go see Pirates 3.
